I downloaded the app and didn’t find it well, then removed and cancelled my subscription two days before free 3 days trial finished but by chance one day which I was searching my account for a transaction , I found out the amount of $109.099 yearly subscription had already been taken from my account. I send email but rejected, I think the owner is in pinch of money that rejected my dispute for refund!!!

Summary of Key Insights

The "Stock Screener, AI Scanner" app receives overwhelmingly positive reviews, with a strong emphasis on its usefulness for both beginners and experienced traders. Users appreciate the breadth of screening criteria, ease of use, and the fact that many features are available for free. However, several critical issues emerge, including problems with functionality on iPads, concerns about billing practices (especially regarding the trial period), and reports of glitches affecting core features like the screener and chart loading. While the AI aspects are touted, the actual effectiveness and transparency of the AI are questioned.

Prioritized Action Recommendations

High Priority:

  • Fix iPad Functionality Issues: Address the UI problems and stock screener issues on iPads immediately. This is affecting a significant number of users and damaging the app's reputation.
  • Investigate and Resolve Billing Problems: Thoroughly investigate reports of unexpected charges and subscription issues. Implement clear and transparent billing practices, and provide easy cancellation options. Consider offering refunds to users who were wrongly charged.
  • Address Software Glitches (Screener & Charts): Prioritize fixing the screener and chart loading issues. These are core features, and their unreliability is a major source of frustration.
  • Remove Forced 5-Star Review Requirement: Stop requiring users to rate the app 5 stars to unlock features. This is unethical and undermines the credibility of the reviews.

Medium Priority:

  • Improve AI Transparency: Provide more clarity on how the AI works and its accuracy. Address concerns about the AI recommending bearish stocks as bullish.
  • Enhance Customer Service: Improve customer service responsiveness and provide clear contact information.
  • Implement Landscape Mode on iPad: Add landscape mode support for iPad.
  • Improve Data Accuracy and Speed: Ensure that stock prices and percentage gains are accurate and updated in real-time.
  • Fix Referral Lockout Issues: Resolve the issues with the referral program to ensure that users receive the unlocked features after referring friends.

Low Priority:

  • Add Customizable Alert Tones: Add unique alert tones for notifications.
  • Add API access
  • Add ability to set price ranges in screener.

Opportunities for Startup Ideas

  • AI-Powered Stock Education Platform: Develop a separate app or feature that focuses on educating users about stock trading and investing using AI.
  • Personalized Stock Screener Recommendations: Create an AI-powered recommendation engine that suggests customized stock screeners based on a user's investment goals and risk tolerance.
  • Enhanced Paper Trading Simulation: Improve the paper trading simulation to be more realistic and less glitchy.
  • Verified AI Performance Tracking: Implement a system to track and verify the performance of the AI's stock picks and recommendations over time.

Trends and Observations

  • Positive Sentiment Skewed by Incentivization: The high percentage of 5-star reviews is likely inflated due to the app's practice of incentivizing reviews.
  • Beginner-Friendly Focus: The app is particularly popular among beginner traders, suggesting a strong market for educational resources and simplified tools.
  • Feature Requests Centered on AI and Customization: Users are looking for more advanced AI-powered features and greater control over the app's functionality.
  • Penny Stock Focus: The app is particularly popular for penny stock research, suggesting a potential niche market.
  • Recurring Bug Reports: The persistence of bug reports across multiple reviews indicates a need for more rigorous testing and quality assurance.
  • Chinese Text/Servers: The mention of Chinese text on the iPad app and a privacy policy hosted on a Chinese server raises potential concerns about data privacy and security.

Conclusion

The "Stock Screener, AI Scanner" app has the potential to be a valuable tool for traders of all levels. However, the app's positive attributes are overshadowed by significant issues with functionality, billing practices, and ethical concerns. Addressing these issues should be the top priority. By fixing the bugs, improving transparency, and focusing on user experience, the developers can create a truly outstanding app that users can trust and rely on.
