I had just opened it the day before and all was well, then when I needed it in Rome, it wouldn’t open and told me I needed to upgrade (which I’d already done). Wish it worked like it used to.

Don’t pay for this! See below this for my original review. This used to be a 4 star app. Ten years after my last review it’s still broken. 😞 I had just upgraded my phone, updated this app, and all my maps from around the world were gone! I paid for this app years ago (2005), during a trip. I was weeks away from my next and I had no maps. Very disappointed. +++ (Original review) A friend mentioned this app when I had newly arrived on a UK holiday and it made my day trips on foot so much smoother. The terrain didn't always match what I saw on paper maps but eventually I could find my blue dot on here and zoom out til I found my way again. I navigated Edinburgh and Oxford much easier. Even with local guides for Newcastle and London these maps were helpful. I would request more detailed small towns be added worldwide to make it more seamlessly connected, and the option to download by country and state (US) would greatly help. As a map lover, I found this app fun, and even open it occasionally in familiar places just to see how it functions or where my dot is!

It seems every time I try to view a map that I’ve downloaded when I am off the Internet nothing shows up. I’ve downloaded Paris I’ve downloaded New York I’ve downloaded Chicago I’ve downloaded New Orleans; what every time I am off the Internet these maps fail to show up on my phone. Part of the reason I chose this app is that I could use the off-line map.I’ve got lots of memory on my phone so I could download and use these maps. But that doesn’t seem to be happening.
