Nice app for logging a collection. Irritating that the pick my blind feature is only for a paid subscription. I guess you have to make money somehow. Irritating though to withhold features.

It’s very easy to add bottle after bottle. It would be nice if some of the metadata was editable after the scan just before you clicked to save it, rather than opening the record to edit then saving and backing out. Maybe just opened/unopened/empty, date purchased, price. Also make it easier to add multiple bottles that are the same but one is opened. And let us add bottles that the app cart find. I have two unopened bottles of the Jack Daniels “Belle bottle” series, “Tribute to Tennessee” and “Belle of Lincoln” that have no bar code and text search didn’t find. Would love to add them. Also, when you bar code scan and two identical options appear, allow us to pick one and back and look at another, and keep going.

Summary of Key Insights

OnlyDrams is a spirits collection management app with a strong community focus. The app is generally well-received, particularly for its ease of use in cataloging collections and accessing pricing information. However, recent updates (specifically version 3.x) appear to have introduced significant bugs and usability issues, leading to user frustration. The app struggles with barcode recognition for certain categories like scotch and rum, and lacks functionality for manually adding bottles, especially single-barrel picks. Despite these issues, the developer's responsiveness is appreciated, suggesting a commitment to improvement. Overall sentiment is mixed, with many positive reviews tempered by significant complaints about recent updates and missing features.

The developer's responsiveness is a key strength that should be leveraged to engage with the community and continuously improve the app.

Overall Recommendation: Focus on stability and core functionality before adding new features. Address the critical bugs introduced by the recent updates, and prioritize the most requested features to improve user satisfaction and retention.
