I love how I automatically tracks that you’re moving and I’m able to label it by personal business

MileageWise is a polished mileage-tracking app focused on accuracy, IRS-compliance, and professional use. It auto-records trips, imports Google Timeline, recovers past logs, and offers lifetime plans. The interface is clean, reports export easily, and customer service is highly rated. Pricing and fewer features in the free tier are minor drawbacks.

Great app. Does everything I need to track my miles. Two things I hate about it: 1. I drive around to the same addresses every week but for some reason the app keeps adding new addresses. ei: 123 Example Dr. and then adds 123 Example Drive. So I have 5+ listings for each address. I used to type in the name of the business but it just adds another form of the same address. Now I just let it go. 2: WTH are these “tokens” and why do I keep getting logged out due to them expiring?? Losing the tokens alone would gain a 5th star!

Low Priority:

  • Further Enhance UI/UX: While the UI is already praised, continuous improvements can further enhance user satisfaction.

Opportunities for Startup Ideas

  • Context-Aware Mileage Tracking: Implement AI-powered context awareness to automatically classify trips based on the user's calendar, location history, and other contextual data.
  • Predictive Mileage Logging: Use machine learning to predict the user's mileage needs based on their past driving patterns and schedule.

Trends and Observations

  • Focus on Automation: Users highly value the automatic tracking features, indicating a strong preference for convenience and ease of use.
  • Importance of Reliability: The app's reliability and accuracy are crucial for building trust and retaining users.
  • Sensitivity to Pricing: While not explicitly stated, the mention of "fewer features in the free tier" suggests that pricing is a consideration for some users.

Conclusion

MileageWise offers a valuable solution for automatic mileage tracking, but addressing the CarPlay incompatibility and token expiration issues is crucial for improving user satisfaction and increasing adoption. Focusing on reliability, accuracy, and ease of use will further solidify its position as a leading mileage tracking app. Overall, the app shows great potential and is recommended with the caveat that the identified pain points should be addressed promptly.
