The motion was deliberate, not spastic, which is the best way to describe the current behavior.\n\nAnyhow, Avenza has been aware of this issue for more than 3 or 4 months, and has not seen fit to update the application and fix the issue their 4.0 update caused. The app used to be near perfect but the new update has made it 3x more steps to collect a data point. I contacted support to see if there were options to make it more streamlined like it used to be but there is not and they also said there are no plans to go back to how it was. As someone who collects hundreds and hundreds of data points per week, I will be searching for an alternative to Avenza.
