It was bad enough when you had to watch an add before and after you did a puzzle. Now, along with those, you have to put up with multiple ads while you’re building the puzzle! Not hardly worth it anymore.

I have been playing this jigsaw puzzle app for over a year. Originally there was one ad when you finished a puzzle and started another. It was great! I also understood when they added more ads during the puzzle, but now, I get an ad at least every 3 minutes if not less. Sometimes right after starting the puzzle. I’m sorry, I understand wanting to make money, but running your long time customers off is a little much ! I’m looking for another one. March26, 2025 I received an update from the developer saying that there is only a one time fee to have all ads removed. That may be true, but you also charge a fee for 90% your puzzles. That is why I’ve found another game. Thanks for your response.

I love the app, but the amount of ads is overwhelming. I seem to get an ad every five minutes.

Summary of Key Insights

This jigsaw puzzle app has a large library of puzzles and customizable difficulty, which many users appreciate. However, the overwhelming consensus from the reviews is that the excessive number of ads, especially those interrupting gameplay, are significantly detracting from the user experience. While some users enjoy the app's features and variety, the ad issue is driving many away and overshadowing the positive aspects. There is also a significant number of users reporting bugs, such as freezing and puzzles disappearing after the app is closed. The overall sentiment is mixed, with many initially positive reviews turning negative due to the increasing ad frequency. The app maintains a relatively high average rating due to a large number of 5-star reviews, but the more recent reviews indicate a decline in user satisfaction.

Quantitative Metrics:

  • Overall Rating: Driven largely by older reviews, the current trend suggests a decline in user satisfaction.
  • Score Distribution: 5-star (63.8%), 4-star (4.8%), 3-star (9%), 2-star (8.8%), 1-star (13.6%). The large number of 1-star reviews, compared to the 4-star, indicates a significant problem.

  • Impact on User Experience: The ad issue is not only annoying but also actively preventing users from enjoying the app and leading them to seek alternatives.
  • Importance of a Relaxing Experience: Users emphasize the importance of a relaxing and stress-free experience, which is directly undermined by the intrusive ads.
  • Desire for Customization and Control: Users want more control over the app's features and settings, including the ability to opt-out of unwanted features and customize the difficulty level.

Conclusion

The Jigsaw Puzzles for Adults HD app has a solid foundation with its large puzzle library, customizable difficulty, and user-created puzzle feature. However, the excessive number of ads is a critical issue that is negatively impacting the user experience and driving users away. Addressing this issue should be the top priority. By reducing ad frequency, fixing bugs, and providing more customization options, the app can regain its appeal and retain its user base. The app store rating is currently being held up by older reviews, however, the trend suggests a decline in user satisfaction.

Overall Recommendation: Prioritize addressing the ad issue and technical problems to improve user experience and retention.
