Whenever I buy stuff in the shop that costs money I don’t get it and it’s wasting my money

Controls are okay, routes are pretty. But sometimes developers forget that people play racing games to race, not to spend too long a time with your face obscured by chickens or a jack o lantern. I simply quit and start over when hit by those. I'm uninterested in maintaining 1st position for the entire race then coming in 6th because I couldn't see. The shield function is only marginally valuable even with power-ups; it doesn't work at all on some weapons. The earthquake & springboard (looks like a little table) are awful, useless. Ditch them. Don't get me wrong, I usually enjoy the game to pass a little time. It is a good free game. But the more I level up, the more time I spend with chickens or pumpkins in my face when I want to race, and due to that my interest is waning.
